WebThe Hierarchic Dementia Scale (HDS) is composed of 20 subscales covering a broad spectrum of cognitive functions (Coleet al., 1983; Cole & Dastoor, 1987). The subscales consist in turn of either 5 or 10 items in decreasing order difficulty. The maximum score on the individual subscales is 10 points and that for the entire scale is 200 points.
