All modules released by ED normally get release on the DCS website earlier than the Steam release. Also Standalonets users get patches before Steam. Your information is out of date. Steam gets the beta and stable patch on the same release cycle.

I will look at where the file is and see if something is messed up or not, it every well might be but if not then something must have gotten messed up on the install of the mod itself.
